色片和色浆溶解操作指南:
l 避免混合粘度和或温差相差长期很大的原料/溶剂在一起。
l 在高速搅拌机的高速搅拌下,缓缓加入色片。搅拌筒直径应是搅拌直径的2.5-3倍。搅拌叶片为专业齿状叶片。
l 稀释溶剂应是树脂和溶剂混合物。建议稀释溶液和色片的比例为:色片25%,稀释溶液为75%。
l 应优先用溶解性最强的溶剂或是混合型溶剂,避免单独加入非溶液或稀释液。
Guideline for Dissolving Chip and Paste:
l Never add materials that have large viscosity differences. The viscosity of the dispersion and vehicle based should be approximately the same to avoid physical shock
l Always make additions under good agitation using a good high-speed disperser. Select a mixing tank which is 2.5-3 times the diameter of the blade. A sharp saw-tooth blade is preferred.
l Letdown vehicle should be a mixture of solvents and resin. Recommended chip and solvent ratio: 25% chip and 75% vehicle.

1. 高速搅拌溶解:

叶轮的选择和位置:
1. 叶轮的直径应为料筒直径的1/4 - 1/2。
2. 叶轮到料筒底部的距离应为叶轮直径的1/2 - 1 倍。
3. 料筒底部到色浆静止时表面高度应为叶轮直径的1 -2 倍。
溶解步骤:
a) 将第一部分溶剂(55%)加入料筒。(建议:如有可能,应首先将色片在活性溶剂里浸泡且缓慢搅拌过夜,然后高速溶解。一般可省去砂磨或过滤步骤)
b) 将叶轮置于料筒中心,低速搅拌(400 - 600 RPM) 下将色片加入旋涡中。 随着色片的不断溶解,调节叶轮的高度和速度,以保持色片和色浆在料筒中得到充分搅拌。如果色浆黏度太高不能形成旋涡时,可适量加入部分保留片溶剂。
c) 色片全部加入后,继续搅拌一小时。然后停止搅拌,小心地将挂在料筒壁上和叶轮下面的未溶解色片铲入、料筒中。此时叶轮速度应增加到600 - 900 RPM。通常, 刚开始加入色片时叶轮的线速度为650米/分。随着色片的不断溶解,叶轮线速度增至1300 米/分。将色片在高速搅拌下溶解3-6个小时。
d) 如桶内还有未溶解的小颗粒,进行过滤或砂磨步骤。
2. 砂磨机操作步骤
设备: 高效砂磨机
介质:直径为1 - 2 毫米的锆砂
溶解步骤:
a) 将锆砂加入砂磨机筒体内,锆砂的用量应为筒体容积的80-85%。
b) 将高速搅拌溶解后的色浆加入砂磨机,经研磨后的色浆出料应装入干净的料筒内,以免为溶解的色片颗粒再度混入色浆中。研磨过程中尽量保持较高的搅轴速度,同时保证色浆在筒体内足够的停留时间。本系列产品建议停留时间为8-10分钟。 然而,停留时间随砂磨机的大小和效率不同而改变。上述建议停留时间仅供参考。请按实际情况实验确定。
c) 研磨本系列产品时,冷却水要全部打开。
d) 每一道研磨后,进行粒度测试,确保色片全部溶解。为达到最好效果,可能要进行多道研磨。注意:进行每道研磨时,出料一定要装入干净的料筒内,以免污染。
3. 固含量调节
当粒度达到要求后,测量固含量,将固含量调至30%。 首先 计算出所需溶剂量,然后在搅拌下缓缓加入所需溶剂。
4. 安全注意事项:
使用这些材料是应注意接地和操作通风环境。空气中的溶剂应小于其临界点。注意所用溶剂的上下临界爆炸点。用非极性溶剂(甲苯,二甲苯)有助于降低静电效应。
Procedure for Dissolving CAB Chips
Formula: Chip Dispersion 30%
Solvents 70%
1. MIXING STEP:
Equipment: High speed mixer with a saw tooth cutting blade Mixing Tank
Blade Selection and Position:
l The blade size should be . to . the diameter of the mixing tank;
l The position of the blade should be . to 1 blade diameter from the bottom of the tank.
l The level of the batch in the mixing tank should be 1 to 2 blade diameter.
Procedure:
a) Charge the first portion of solvent (55%) to the mixing tank. (Suggestion: soak and slowly agitate chips in active solvent over night before cutting (if possible). It may avoid filtration or media mill step).
b) Center the impeller in the tank and run a low speed (400 – 600 rpm). Slowly add the chip into the vortex of the liquid. As the chip dissolves, the impeller blade speed and height should be adjusted to maintain good solution movement in the tank. If the product develops too much viscosity to maintain a good vortex, add some of the “hold out” solvent to the solution.
c) After all of the chip has been added and the solution agitated for one hour, the impeller should be stopped and the mixing tank scraped carefully on the sides and under the blade to remove the undissolved chips from static areas in the tank. The impeller speed should than be increased to 600 – 900 rpm. A typical sequence for peripheral blade speed (“tip speed”) adjustment would be 650 meters per minute during the introduction of chips to the tank followed by an increase to 1300 meters per minute as the paste forms. Dissolve chip under high speed mixer for at least 3-6 hours.
d) If there is still some undissolved small particles, go through filtration or media mill step.
2. MEDIA MILL STEP:
Equipment: High Performance Media mill
Media: 1 – 2 mm Zirconia
Procedure:
a) Charge media to the mill, the volume of the media should be 80–85 % of the chamber volume.
b) The mixing vessel containing the product dissolved by the procedure outlined above should now be taken to the media mill. The product should be passed from the dissolution vessel through the mill to a clean vessel of suitable size. It is important to maintain as high an agitator speed as possible while maintaining adequate residence time of the product within the chamber. Recommended residence time for these products is 8 to10 minutes, however, the time may vary depending upon the size and efficiency of the media mill.
c) Full cooling of the media mill is necessary when processing these products. If available, a water jacketed mixing vessel is also preferred.
d) Test the material for particle size resulting from undissolved chip after each pass. Multiple passes may be needed to achieve the best quality. Be sure to transfer material to a clean tank after each pass to avoid undissolved particulate contamination.
3. ADJUSTMENT:
After the particle size specifications are achieved, measure the solids content and adjust the level to 30% total solids using your hold-out solvent. Under agitation, slowly add the solvent needed based on your calculation.
4. Safety precautions:
Mixing should be done in well grounded equipment with adequate ventilation. Solvent levels must be maintained below their threshold limit values. The upper and lower explosion limits of the solvents utilized must also be recognized and avoided. Risk of static electrical charges can be minimized by avoiding CAB slurries in non-polar hydrocarbons such as xylene or toluene.
